Inspiron 1545 laptop with 64-bit Windows 7
I was getting the error "The Ac power adapter wattage and type cannot be determined." This error has been cleared up but it also gave the option to press F5 to run onboard diagnostics which gave the following error.
Error code: 2000-0146

Msg: Error code: 2000-0146
Msg: Hard drive 0: Self test log contains previous errors
Per Kalyan S response at http://en.community.dell.com/support-forums/disk-drives/f/3534/t/19457874, this "refers to previous errors in the hard drive which might not really be a hardware failure". To confirm this, he recommends the custom test of the 32-bit Diagnostics menu. When I press F12 and boot Diagnostics, they immediately run and do not provide any of the menu options described at http://www.dell.com/support/article/us/en/04/52057/en?c=us&s=bsd&cs=04&l=en.
When I try to run DELLDIAG.exe from the Dell Resource CD, I get the following errror.
"The version of this file is not compatible with the version of Windows you're running. Check your computer's system information to see whether you need an x86 (32-bit) or x64 (64-bit) of the program and then contact the software publisher."
Is there a 64-bit compatible version of Diagnostics that can be downloaded which will allow me to run the custom test that Kalyan recommended?
