I have an Alienware Aurora (Late 2009) that is out of warranty. I am not sure what is wrong with it, but I think some kind of virus as the computer is okay until a web browser is opened and then it crashes and shuts down. Trying to open or update an antivirus or anti-malware leads to a blue screen dump.
In any case, I don't need to keep anything on the computer. I just want to reformat the hard drive to factory specs. However, I have no disks.
Does anyone know how I can do this? Can I just buy disks? It seems dell won't let me chat without a current warranty... Should I just buy a new OS?
