Up to Date April 2016 Windows 7 Installation Media

This guide will work for all Windows 7 OEM Licenses (including non-Dell) and all Windows 7 Retail Licenses.

Select Dell Skylake Systems also have the Dell Windows 7 Reinstallation Pro Skylake Media Refresh January 2016 .iso.

Step 1: Microsoft only provide Windows 7 SP1 November 2010 Media Refresh Installation Media.

Because Microsoft's website doesn't work as well as it should this can be obtained direct from Microsoft server's using Jan Krohn's Windows .iso Download Tool which generates direct download links from Microsoft's Servers:

Step 2: Slipstream PSP2, IE11, NVMe, Storage Controllers and USB 3.0 Support to Make Windows 7 PSP2 April 2016 Media Refresh Installation Media

It took a while to do this but I have created a slipstream script to bring Windows Installation Media up to date which is necessary to install on newer 2012-2016 hardware.

2. Store in C:\Updates\IE11

3. Extract 64 Bit Drivers and Store in C:\Drivers

4. Extract your Windows 7 .iso or copy the files from your Windows 7 SP1 (Re)Installation DVD/USB and store in C:\Win7

5. Open the 64 Bit Rev3 in notepad and save as 64 Bit Rev3.bat (all file types).

6. Right click 64 Bit Rev3.bat and select run as administrator.

7. Wait for script to execute. Press any key to end the script when prompted.

This will give you Media Refresh April 2016 Installation Media. Monthly Security Rollups can be downloaded from here and applied post installation:

Additional information.

To apply Original Equipment Manufacturer System Locked Preinstallation - Download ABRBeta from here and extract the .exe to give an ABR folder:

Copy the backup-cert.xrm-ms and backup-key.txt corresponding to your OEM.
