I have a new all in one Inspiron 22 which came with Win10. I want to "downgrade" it to Win 7 so I installed Windows 7, 64 bit from my DVD from my old Inspiron. All loaded ok and I installed the 50,000 updates (ok, maybe not 50,000 [;)]) After all was said and done, I still have two ! in my device manager.
I've downloaded and reinstalled every driver for this service tag from Dell's website with no luck. I also uninstalled and reinstalled drivers. I've formatted the drive and re-installed Win7. I even went to the PROPERTIES and HARWARE IDS and did a Google search for that ID an nothing.
I know the installation DVD is okay because I've used that before. Know the USB ports work because i can revert back to the OEM WIndows 10 and they work (I cloned the original HDD to another HDD before I attempted the "downgrade"). I am out of ideas.
One thing I can tell you is that I had a heck of a time initially getting Win7 installed because the system was set to UEFI. The only way I could get Win 7 to install was to set to legacy mode and set the drive to MBR. However, I wouldn't think that should have anything to do with these devices not working.
Any help will be greatly appreciated!
