My Dell XPS 27 (2TB HDD, 32GB SSD) running win 8.1 went down two weeks ago and I could not gain access until I used a thumb drive to install a copy of the OS onto the SSD. I was then able to reinstall win 8.1 onto the HDD, running SeaTools to repair the issues with the HDD. Things appear to be stable now.
However, now I need to restore the PC to its original state so the SSD can be used like it was before, but I don't know how. I deleted the Windows files on the SSD and reformatted it. It now appears as an empty volume that is not being used. How can I get my system back to the way it was, when the SSD was used to speed up the computer? I don't believe the OS was originally installed on the SSD but I can't be sure. How should this PC be configured, from a BIOs and SSD setup?
Thanks!
