I am running Inspiron 11 model 3137 and Windows 8.1 with the 1705 Wireless card. I cannot update the device driver, either through windows or through support.dell.com.
Support.dell.com says the 1705 wireless driver was released 23 Jan 2014. But Windows says the current version installed is dated 8/15/2013. Aha! That would be an easy fix...except when I try to update the driver using Windows, it reports that the installed driver is already the latest version (when obviously it's not)
So then I go to support.dell.com and download the 1705 + bluetooth driver. I get through the driver install process, and then it tells me to active Bluetooth using the wireless switch. Well, the wireless switch toggles Airplane Mode, but has nothing to do with Bluetooth. I navigate over to Bluetooth settings in the control panek and verify that Bluetooth is activated, and it is. But the dialog says only "Activate Bluetooth using device driver" and my only button available is "cancel installation". When I click that, predictably, the installation cancels and I get nowhere.
I know there's a newer version of the 1705 driver for Inspiron 11 3137 out there, but I can't get it. Can anyone help me?
