I've been requested to re-install a corporate specific Vista Business 32-Bit ISO on a few older Optiplex GX620s.
These are the only computers we have available. Every installation method I have tried has either failed partway through or simply does not work.
I have tried:
- Bootable flash drive (This worked the first time, but installation no longer completes even after reformatting the flash drive several times). I was using this method.
- External USB DVD drive (BIOS doesn't recognize it as a bootable device)
- Installing on an Optiplex 755, then proceeding to swap hard drives. (This causes a reboot loop when loading the hdd on the GX620, i'm guessing due to driver conflicts. I can't use the installation CDs we have since none of the GX620s have DVD drives)
My question: is there any other way to install this ISO that I'm not aware of, or would anyone know a method for resolving one of the conflicts mentioned above?
I know this is asking a lot for these older machines, but our resources are stretched thin, and our budget isn't allowing us to purchase any new desktops at the moment.
Thanks in advance for any advice you can give.
